Richard GodoskyRichard Godosky has long been recognized by his peers and clients alike as a talented and successful trial attorney. He has over 50 years of experience in personal injury, malpractice law, commercial litigation and mass tort law. Richard Godosky is a member of the exclusive International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a Director of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and a Past-President of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York Trial Lawyers Association in 2002.

Richard Godosky has received the "AV" rating* under Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system, and has been listed in every edition of "The Best Lawyers in America" since it was first published, over 20 years ago.


Anthony GentileAnthony P. Gentile is a renowned trial lawyer. Over the course of his 35 year career, he has won dozens of multi-million dollar verdicts at trial, including a $65,000,000.00 verdict in a medical malpractice action in Bronx County. That award has been listed in the "Guinness Book of World Records" for the highest personal injury recovery.

Anthony Gentile, also a member of the exclusive International Academy of Trial Lawyers, has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, a Past Vice-President of the Association of Trial Lawyers of the City of New York and is an Adjunct-Professor with New York City University School of Law. He has lectured extensively on the topics of personal injury, medical malpractice and products liability.

Robert E GodoskyRobert E. Godosky has 20 years of experience as an attorney, and has spent his entire career representing individuals injured by the negligence of others. Robert has tried cases in all areas of personal injury, including medical malpractice, labor law, automobile accidents and premise liability accidents. Recently, he obtained a multi-million dollar verdict for the family of a disabled firefighter who died as a result of hospital negligence. He handles the majority of the medical malpractice cases in the firm and assumed the duties of Managing Attorney for Godosky & Gentile in 1999.

Robert Godosky was appointed to the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association in 2004. He has received the "AV" rating* under Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system. Robert is a graduate of the Fordham University School of Law.


David GodoskyDavid Godosky is a former judge and prosecutor. A graduate of Cornell Law School, David has had many verdicts and settlements totaling in the tens of millions of dollars.  David is also actively engaged in the Firm's appellate practice and has argued several cases in the Court of Appeals.  After being appointed to the bench by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, David returned to the Firm's practice as a lead trial attorney.  David lives in Manhattan with his wife and twin daughters.

 

 


Jeffrey BreckerJeffrey R. Brecker has been with Godosky & Gentile since its inception, and has almost 30 years of experience as an attorney for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has handled all aspects of personal injury and malpractice litigation with a focus on construction site accidents. He is active in numerous negotiations and has achieved a number of substantial jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of the firm's clients.

Jeffrey Brecker has received the "AV" rating* under Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system, and has been listed in the "Who's Who in American Law" since 1992. He is a member of various bar associations, and currently sits on the Medical Malpractice Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is a past chairperson of its Tort Litigation Committee.

Jeffrey was an Adjunct Professor at the New College of Hofstra University and has lectured in the areas of torts and legal procedure.


Pasquale VairoPasquale Vairo focuses his practice on behalf of clients with personal injury, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation concerns. Several of Pasquale's most recent jury verdicts have been well in excess of a million dollars and he has in fact had several multimillion dollar verdicts and settlements to his experience.

Pasquale began his practice as an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the Bronx District Attorney, where he spent six years handling hundreds of violent and non-violent criminal cases, including narcotics offenses and homicides.


William GentileWilliam Gentile joined Godosky & Gentile in 2007. Since his arrival, William has had numerous successful verdicts and settlements, including a $1.2 million dollar verdict. While primarily representing our personal injury clients, William also has extensive experience in business litigation as well.

Prior to joining Godosky & Gentile, William served as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office. He handled hundreds of violent and non-violent criminal cases, including narcotics, child molestation, homicide, and complex fraud cases, and served as lead counsel on over 25 trials.

William is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and is licensed to practice law in New York and Florida.


Diane K. TonerDiane K. Toner joined Godosky & Gentile in 2009. Before joining us, Diane advocated for plaintiffs as an appellate attorney. She successfully handled dozens of appeals, safeguarding plaintiffs’ verdicts and obtaining judgments against defendants at the appellate level. She has argued in the First and Second Departments of the Appellate Division and in the Appellate Term. At Godosky & Gentile, she applies her talented research and writing skills to the firm’s substantive motion, post-trial and appellate practice.

Diane is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in New York.


Hakeem JeffriesHakeem Jeffries has over nine years of experience in commercial litigation, First Amendment law, and civil rights issues in both state and federal court. He has significant experience conducting internal investigations as well. Prior to joining Godosky & Gentile, he served as assistant general counsel with CBS Broadcasting, Inc., as litigation counsel with Viacom, Inc., and as an associate in the litigation department of the respected law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, LLP.

Hakeem is a magna cum laude graduate of NYU School of Law, and he lives in Brooklyn. In 2006, Hakeem was elected to serve the 57th District of Brooklyn in the New York State Assembly.


Richard B. Ancowitz Richard B. Ancowitz,  as principal author and editor-in-chief of Weitz on Automobile Litigation & The No-Fault Handbook,  is widely recognized by lawyers throughout New York State as a leading authority on automobile injury cases, insurance law, and civil practice. He has been a featured speaker at numerous continuing legal education programs presented by various bar associations, the Office of Court Administration and the New York State Legislature.

He is accomplished as a commercial litigator, as well as an authority on claims made pursuant to the state and federal False Claims Act.

Mr. Ancowitz has hosted and produced The Legal Rights and Wrongs Show, an internet radio show designed to provide information about the law to legal consumers.

Mr. Ancowitz also serves as counsel to the New York State Assembly, Judiciary Committee, in addition to serving as Hearing Officer for the Appellate Division, Third Department, Master Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, and Mediator for the Supreme Court, New York County, Commercial Division.
