Infections still pose problem for hospital patients

In most cases, individuals who are receiving care in a hospital believe that while there, they are safe. There is an assumption that as a result of the treatment they receive their condition will improve. While in many situations this is the case, there are times in which during the course of their stay, a patient will actually become worse as a result of contracting an infection. A study recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine focuses on this.

Because of the reliance in society on this mode of transportation it is important that automobiles work as intended. Because there are so many components that make up a car, issues sometimes arise. In addition to the many residents who ride bicycles as a part of their jobs, residents using bikes as a mode of transportation are also frequently seen navigating the streets along with other motor vehicles. Most American motorists are now aware of the fact that choosing to drive while distracted can be just as hazardous as choosing to drive drunk. Currently, more car accidents are caused by distracted driving behavior than by any other preventable cause. As a result, auto manufacturers, federal regulators and safety advocates are all attempting to mitigate the distracted driving trend in a myriad of ways.
