Theme parks guests injured on ride

Summer is here, and families all across the country are likely packing, booking and preparing for vacations to fantastic places and exciting theme parks. These vacations will make memories that last a lifetime, but while theme parks adhere to the strictest safety standards, there is always the chance that something can go wrong. A recent incident in Missouri proved that vacationers should always be wary when taking advantage of attractions.

Six Flags is one of the most well-known theme park companies in the country, and some of its parks and rides are famous all across the world. Unfortunately, not even a company as big as Six Flags is immune to the dangers of theme park operations. A St. Louis park recently had to stop one of its rides before completion, and four guests were injured as a result.

Reports are scarce about what caused the ride to be stopped, but the arrival of ambulances was confirmed. Fortunately, the guests were able to leave the ride safely after it was stopped, and the reported injuries were only minor. What is perhaps most alarming about this situation is that park officials are allegedly unsure about the cause of the ride's malfunction.

Of course, New York is no stranger to theme parks, and there is even a Six Flags park called the Great Escape here in our state. We sincerely hope that families are able to enjoy their summer vacations, but the possibility of injury is always present at theme parks. If you or someone you know suffers an injury at a theme park, you may consider contacting an attorney. Depending on the circumstances, you could recover compensation for the injuries you suffered.
